About Pillar Roofing
Steve Monahan's path to roofing didn't start with a hammer — it started behind a linen-covered table, as a waiter flambéing tableside and pouring high-end wine for guests who expected precision from start to finish. That's where he learned what real service looks like: control, timing, and confidence under pressure.
Steve was also trained in Silicon Valley as an electromechanical draftsman and technical illustrator, work that trained him to think in exact measurements and see how every piece fits together, a skill roofing systems demand just as much.
There was a time Steve wouldn't even raise his hand in an engineering meeting, let alone speak up in front of a room, and speak, however, his next venture taught him to represent a product that required him to develop the confidence and communication skills that continue to serve him today.
Steve was teaching a wine class downtown Dallas when a friend from his old marketing days told him he should check out this roof sales business. Steve wasn't interested in getting on roofs, but his friend wouldn't let it go. Finally, he gave it a shot on the weekends, found out he was good at it, and eventually built Pillar Roofing out of that unlikely start.
Three unrelated careers, hospitality, drafting, and public speaking, all show up now in every job Pillar does: high-end service, accurate work, and clear communication from the first call to the final walkthrough.

About Pillar Roofing
This illustration shows the severity of the 2016 Wylie hailstorm that produced stones large enough to puncture shingles and roof decking, leaving openings directly into residential attics. In some homes, hail penetrated the ceiling sheetrock and entered kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas.
Windows were shattered, vehicles were heavily damaged, and the rain that followed poured through the roof openings. Families were displaced to hotels while blue tarps became a common sight throughout the affected neighborhoods.
Pillar Roofing arrived immediately after the storm, helping homeowners secure their properties, document the damage, and begin the recovery process.
Our responsibility wasn't simply to replace shingles—it was to identify the full scope of damage and help families make their homes safe and whole again.

About Pillar Roofing
Some projects demand far more than roofing expertise. At Signature Flight Support,
Pillar Roofing was selected to coordinate the safe removal of a hazardous chemical foam tank located on the roof. Working alongside environmental specialists, facility supervisors, and crane operators, our team carefully removed roof panels, rigged and lifted the tank from the building, transported it safely across the property, and then restored the roofing system by reinstalling and matching the existing metal panels. The project required precise planning, strict safety procedures, and seamless coordination between multiple trades—demonstrating Pillar Roofing's ability to successfully manage complex commercial roofing projects where safety and attention to detail are critical.

About Pillar Roofing
Texas storms can arrive suddenly and turn violent within minutes. Even with advance warnings, no homeowner knows exactly how severe the wind and hail will be—or how much of the property may be damaged.
A storm like this can affect the roof, gutters, windows, screens, fascia, garage doors, fencing and landscaping, leaving the property owners to coordinate several different contractors.
One call to Pillar Roofing 214-293-3904 changes that. Your Pillar Roofing Concierge documents the damage, organizes the right trades, and coordinates the restoration from start to finish. You receive one dependable point of contact and one clear path forward.

About Pillar Roofing
Just down the street from our office, the Wingate Hotel had an aging gravel-ballasted EPDM roof that was leaking so severely the entire top floor could no longer be rented.
Our team removed the heavy gravel and failing roof system, replaced extensive areas of damaged decking, and installed a completely new watertight roofing membrane.
It was an enormous restoration that took several weeks—and as the Pillar Roofing Coordinator, I was on-site every day overseeing the work, documenting the progress, and making sure every detail was completed properly.

About Pillar Roofing
When Pillar Roofing replaces a roof, we gain access to the critical flashing around walls, valleys, vents, pipes, and other penetrations—the areas that determine whether water stays outside or finds its way into your home. We carefully inspect every transition and repair, replace, or reseal the flashing as needed rather than covering old problems with new shingles.
That detail-by-detail approach gives us confidence in the finished roof and gives homeowners lasting peace of mind. We ensure every nook and cranny is waterproofed and all flashing components are inspected and refreshed as needed
Pillar Roofing proudly backs our quality roof installations with our lifetime workmanship warranty.
