Pillar Roofing was selected to coordinate the safe removal of a hazardous chemical foam tank located on the roof. Working alongside environmental specialists, facility supervisors, and crane operators, our team carefully removed roof panels, rigged and lifted the tank from the building, transported it safely across the property, and then restored the roofing system by reinstalling and matching the existing metal panels. The project required precise planning, strict safety procedures, and seamless coordination between multiple trades—demonstrating Pillar Roofing's ability to successfully manage complex commercial roofing projects where safety and attention to detail are critical.

Although the upper floor had already sustained significant water damage, Signature Flight trusted our team to manage the project from emergency response through complete roof replacement. Just down the street from our office, the Wingate Hotel had an aging gravel-ballasted EPDM roof that was leaking so severely the entire top floor could no longer be rented.
Our team removed the heavy gravel and failing roof system, replaced extensive areas of damaged decking, and installed a completely new watertight roofing membrane.
It was an enormous restoration that took several weeks—and as the Pillar Roofing Coordinator, I was on-site every day overseeing the work, documenting the progress, and making sure every detail was completed properly.

Some roofs come apart cleanly—this one fought us every inch of the way; that for sure, at one point it looked like we were at a beach somewhere.
Once the top layer was removed, we uncovered years of compacted dirt, rocks, dust, and deteriorated roofing material. For days, clouds of debris followed every shovel, pick, and chisel as our crew dug through the stubborn layers.
Nearly every tool in the truck came out that week, and extensive deck repairs were required before the roof could be rebuilt properly.
Only after reaching a clean, solid foundation could we install the recovery board and complete the new TPO roofing system.
It was one of the dirtiest and most demanding projects we have faced—but underneath all that dust was a roof worth rebuilding correctly.
