One of the most exciting milestones in your project is seeing your new metal roofing system arrive at your home. Before installation begins, your Pillar Roofing Concierge will review the delivered panels with you to verify the profile, color, trim, and accessories match your selections.
We'll also discuss the manufacturer's warranty, proper maintenance, and normal characteristics such as oil canning—the slight visual waviness that can occur in flat metal panels due to manufacturing tolerances, thermal movement, or changing light conditions.
Oil canning is cosmetic only and does not affect the roof's strength, weather resistance, or service life.
Taking a few minutes to review everything together ensures complete confidence before installation begins and helps set the stage for a smooth, successful roofing project.

Exposed Hardware Vs Concealed
R-Panel Roofing is economical and dependable, but its exposed screws are continuing maintenance points. Every screw penetrates the metal and relies on a compressed rubber sealing washer—commonly neoprene or EPDM—to keep water out.
Years of Texas sunlight, heat, rain and thermal cycling can harden or shrink those washers, while repeated panel movement can loosen screws or elongate their holes.
A Snap-Lock Standing-Seam Roof handles attachment differently. Its clips and fasteners are protected beneath the interlocking seams, leaving no exposed face screws or rubber washers across the main weather surface.
The concealed attachment also allows the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes without repeatedly working against exposed penetrations.
