Triple-Sealed the Details
Before spraying the final roof coating, we prepare and reinforce every vulnerable detail. Areas showing corrosion receive rust inhibitor to stabilize the metal and stop deterioration from continuing beneath the new system. We then triple-seal around every turbine, HVAC curb, penetration, transition, and other roof fixture, carrying the reinforced coating completely around each base to create a continuous watertight barrier.
Every exposed hex-head screw is also inspected and individually covered with a white “Hershey Kiss” of coating. These seals protect the screw heads and aging neoprene washers from further weather exposure while closing thousands of potential water-entry points across the roof.
Only after the rust, hardware, seams, and fixtures have been thoroughly prepared do we apply the full spray coating. That careful sequence is what turns an aging metal-panel roof into a complete restoration system—not merely a fresh coat of paint.

Years of relentless Texas sun and extreme temperature swings cause metal roof panels to expand and contract, gradually working exposed fasteners loose while their neoprene sealing washers dry out, crack, and eventually crumble.
Our hardware restoration follows a careful one-two-three process: First, we locate every rusted, backed-out, or failed fastener and the heat gaps it has created. Second, loose or ineffective screws are removed and replaced with larger-diameter fasteners and fresh bonded washers, pulling the panel tight again and restoring a secure mechanical connection. Finally, every sound fastener—whether newly installed, already tight, or simply showing surface rust—is encapsulated with a precise white “Hershey Kiss” of protective coating.
This final seal keeps moisture away from the screw and washer, protects the connection from further weathering, and prepares the roof for the complete restoration system that follows.

The Rakes & Seams Sealer
The rake edges & seams of an R-panel roof take some of the hardest punishment from wind-driven rain, thermal movement, and uplift, which is why leaks often appear there first.
Our repair process includes tightening or replacing loose fasteners, correcting separated rake trim and closure details, and applying seam sealer down the overlaps. Properly sealing these rake-end details & seam overlaps is critical because once water gets behind the trim, it can travel beneath the panels and cause damage far beyond the original entry point.

By the time the spray crew enters the scene, the most important work has already been completed by hand. Loose or backed-out fasteners have been replaced, heat gaps closed, rusted areas treated, and every panel seam, lap, transition, and vulnerable detail carefully reinforced and sealed. Each exposed fastener has also been individually encapsulated with its own protective “Hershey Kiss.”
The R-panel roof is now clean, dry, triple sealed, and fully prepared to receive the final protective coating as one continuous system.

The Final Shield
Once every seam, fastener and roof fixture has been repaired, rust-treated and triple sealed, the restoration is completed with a full spray application. Depending on the roof system and project conditions, we apply either Hydro Shield, our water-based coating, or DynaShield, our oil-based coating. Both create a seamless protective shield with a clean, finished sheen across the entire roof.
For certain applications, a specialized hardening additive can be introduced, allowing the coating to cure into an exceptionally durable, crystal-hard acrylic finish that provides another level of protection against North Texas weather.

In 2013, a devastating hailstorm tore through Wichita Falls, damaging roofs across at least half the city. Lakeview Church of the Nazarene was directly in its path. The existing roof was badly damaged and leaking, leaving the congregation in urgent need of a complete replacement. The large roof and tall steeple created challenging installation details, and the work was completed as colder weather began moving into North Texas.
