Safety TPO Cricket Install
Discover how TPO cricket installation resolves rooftop water ponding, enhancing safety and protecting electrical equipment.
The building owner called Pillar Roofing after water repeatedly collected in front of the rooftop electrical box, creating a safety concern that needed attention. The low area allowed rainwater to sit near the equipment instead of draining away, so our job was to correct the water flow.
We built a custom sloped cricket and covered it with TPO membrane to redirect water away from the electrical box. Our technician carefully fitted the membrane around the existing supports and heat-welded the seams into the surrounding roof. The completed cricket addressed the ponding problem by giving water a path around the equipment, turning a troublesome low spot into a properly sloped drainage area.
